Tower wars release notes

Welcome to the inaugural launch of Tower Wars, a meticulously designed Fortnite Creative map that introduces a unique blend of strategy, combat, and exploration. This new game mode promises an immersive and balanced play experience, suitable for players who thrive on equal playing fields and strategic gameplay. Here’s everything you need to know about Tower Wars!

Gameplay breakdown

SOLOS: 16 Players FFA

DUOS: 32 Players – 16 Teams

The Gulag

After you’re eliminated the first time, you’ll be sent to the Gulag, giving you the chance for redemption and return to the Towers! The Gulag will feature engaging and unique weapons to enhance the gameplay, and provide different paths to victory in the long run! If you die withing the gulag, you’ll respawn in the gulag until you have no more remaining lives.

SOLOS:

You will fight against all enemies who are sent to the Gulag. Battle with speed to return!

DUOS:

When you are eliminated, you do not get the chance to revive in battle, as you’re sent straight to the Gulag. It’s there that you will fight for your return back to your teammate, as fast as you can!

For those long term players, and competitive sweats, we’ve put together a kill based ranking system to launch with. As you accrue more kills, you will climb the ranks to Unreal!

  • Eliminations Per Rank
    • Bronze: 15
    • Silver: 50
    • Gold: 100
    • Platinum: 150
    • Diamond: 250
    • Elite: 500
    • Champion: 1,000
    • Unreal: 2,500
As we continue development we’re building a Rank Points (RP) based ranking system, that will reward players more for their kills, and punish higher amounts of deaths. 

The Towers

FLOOR ONE:

Spawn into the action on the first floor, uniquely designed as a Combat Office with tight corridors and low ceilings to encourage close-range encounters. This floor features five staircases and two discreet access points in the ceiling, cleverly referred to as “tactical skylights,” allowing for surprise vertical engagements and strategic positioning.

FLOOR TWO:

Ascend to the second floor to discover the expansive Greenhouse, a floor made almost entirely of glass, offering a clear view of your enemies. Each corner of this floor houses a distinct biome room – Arctic, Jungle, Desert, and Swamp – providing diverse combat environments. These biomes serve as gateways to the upper echelon of the tower, accessible via thrilling zipline routes that promise both danger and opportunity.

FLOOR THREE:

Ascend via ziplines to the third floor’s glass battleground, a radiant junction where better weapons await. This luminous arena, framed by the sky, demands swift navigation and tactical supremacy. Here, each encounter is a dance of skill, with high visibility and the finest armaments elevating the fight to new heights.

The Junctions

Connecting two Towers and the Center Final Zone, the junction provides key access between towers during zone movement. Littered with consumables to keep you alive, and various upgrades and throwables, the Junctions will be some of the biggest hidden battlefields.

The Center final zone (cfz)

The Center Final Zone is where it all goes down. Only accessible throught the junctions, the CFZ creates a unique are for the last showdown. Structured around the central tree and plane wreckage, the plane pieces house the most influential loot of the map.
